Miss you terribly dad, love you forever
deb

I was sad to hear that Uncle Hugh passed away. Some of the best memories from my childhood were spent at Aunt Rose and Uncle Hugh's house. Playing softball and football on Thanksgiving with Paula and Cathy. You always looked out for my best interests and I realized that when I got older. Uncle Hugh scared the hell out of me sometimes (ha,ha), but always made me smile with his "one liners". He reminded me of Bob Newhart. He was a good person to the core, and if someone were to say to me that I was half the man and father that he was, I would be proud. I know that the Chambers women will come together in this time of change.
I miss seeing Aunt Rose and Uncle Hugh, Paula, Cathy, Debbie and Karen. You were all a big part of my younger life and I love you all. Please know that I am with you. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Uncle Hugh will be missed but never forgotten.

MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH THE FAMILY OF MY GOOD FRIEND HUGH. IN MY DAYS WITH THE MANSFIELD BAND PROGRAM, HUGH WAS ALWAYS DEDICATED, DEVOTED AND A TRUE PERSONAL FRIEND. HUGH WAS ALWAYS READY TO VOLUNTEER HIS TIME AND SERVICE TO HELP OUR BAND PROGRAM. GOD'S BLESSINGS TO A WONDERFUL GENTLEMAN.

We go through life knowing we all will pass, its never easy when someone that had an impact in your life as Mr.Chambers(Hughie)as we all know him as did when I was a young kid! He allowed me to grow up in his and Roses home and always treated me like a dad would. He was always ready to bust somebody with a joke or two. But he would not let you stray to far.He definitely would let you know if you were out of line and he had no problem straighting me out when I needed it. I have to say he had a way of scaring you straight but he always had his humor to take the edge off a little. Mr Chambers will always have my respect and Love. I might not have seen him everyday or maybe just once a year, I just know we would pick up where we left off, like we did see each other every day..He will be missed but everyone who knows Hughie will agree that our good lord better be ready because he will change and build something in heaven! I will miss you Dad but will cherish my memories! Thanks for being you!

With my deepest sympathy to my extended family Rose,Karen,Debbie,Cathy and Paula.
Love

Chambers Family,
May you all find peace in the memories Mr. chambers has left you. I know I won't forget him always saying hello when I was over my grandparents house or the times I would spend over there playing with Vanessa and Kristin when they slept over whether it was capture the flag, hide -n-seek in my grandpa's cornstalks or croquet in Mr. Chamber's back yard. We shared many memories growing up with him as our neighbor and he was a part of our family too. God Bless and just know the Beaupre family has your family in our thoughts and prayers.
With Love,
Jessica and The Beaupre Family (Warwick, RI)

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Hughie was such a wonderful man. I remember he and my dad in the backyard every weekend splitting wood. What a good friend he was to my dad. We love you Hughie and will miss you very much.

To the Chambers family,

Thank you so much first off to Hughie for all the laughs and stories of himself and his wonderful family throughout the years at the garage. Even on my sicker days and his too, he still brought a smile to my face with his neverending witty jokes, stubborness, pride, and smart-a** remarks and gestures. Something tells me these days are not over yet. :)

Secondly, I want to thank his family, who he loved so dearly, the warm welcome, and opportunity to get to know them and visit Hughie when he was no longer able to come to the garage.

My deepest sympathy to you all.

Had trouble lighting the candle, think he kept blowing it out. :)

Dawn Chamberlain (Cumberland, RI)

Hughie was a great friend for many years.I can still remember the first time I met him when he came to work at Waste Management. Through the years our friendship grew. His time spent with me at the garage was an upbeat lift to my day. He always brought a coffee and good converstaion. I will miss him terribly. Good bye old friend.
